Obverse: Lady Liberty is featured on the obverse enveloped in the American flag, while strolling towards a new day's sun. Inscribed "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST" and "2021." This rendition of Liberty initially appeared on the 1916 Walking Liberty Half Dollar designed by early 20th century sculptor Adolph A. Weinman. The Type-2 Silver Eagle coin includes the artist's initials "AW," in a monogram style, for the first time in the history of the series.

Reverse: A majestic eagle is illustrated on the reverse, grasping an oak branch as it slows its flight for landing. Inscribed "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," "ONE DOLLAR" and "W." The eagle landing image is the work of nature illustrator Emily Damstra, a U.S. Mint Artistic Infusion Program artist since 2014.
