Classic Eagle Family Design by Miley Busiek
Obverse: This coin’s obverse bears the iconic Saint-Gaudens design, which is named for its designer Augustus Saint-Gaudens. Liberty faces the holder with her hair and garment blowing in the breeze as she holds symbols of freedom, her torch, and peace, an olive branch. Her name, “LIBERTY,” is inscribed on this face, as is the date, “2021.”
Reverse: The reverse design by Miley Busiek features an eagle family. The male carries an olive branch back to his family, which awaits his arrival in the nest below. Inscriptions between the two parts of the design read, “E PLURIBUS UNUM” and “IN GOD WE TRUST.” The name of the issuing country, “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” is inscribed on the top half of the rim. On the bottom half are inscriptions of the coin’s metal content, “1/4 OZ. FINE GOLD,” and face value, “10 DOLLARS.”
Virtually Flawless PF69 UC ER with Exclusive Eagle Label
Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) provided this coin’s grading information on an exclusive Eagle label. NGC graded the piece Proof 69, the company’s second highest, which means that it appears perfect to the naked eye. NGC also certified the coin Ultra Cameo (UC) and Early Releases (ER). The UC designation means that it exhibits particularly sharp contrasts between heavily frosted devices and deeply mirrored fields, while ER means that it was submitted for grading within 30 days of its initial release from the mint.
