Striking African Buffalo Designs
Obverse: An African buffalo is shown at an angle in stunning detail on the obverse. Below is the coat of arms of the issuing nation, South Africa. Inscriptions along the rim note the name of the issuing country, "SOUTH AFRICA," the name of the series, "BIG FIVE," and the date, "2021."
Reverse: Like other coins in the series, the reverse bears a unique bisected design that shows two buffaloes side by side. The holder only sees a full single buffalo when two coins are placed side by side. At the center of this face are two concentric circles in which there are inscriptions of the coin's face value, "FIVE RAND," weight, "1 OZ," and purity, "AG 999."
