Breathtaking Type-2 Silver Eagle Design

Obverse: The obverse is graced with a powerful vision of Lady Liberty walking towards the dawning sun, with an American flag elegantly draped around her figure. Inscribed "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST" and "2021." The image is borrowed from the 1916 Walking Liberty Half Dollar designed by acclaimed sculptor Adolph A. Weinman. The Type-2 Silver Eagle includes the artist's "AW" monogram for the first time in the history of the series.

Reverse: An eagle is depicted on the reverse, portrayed in magnificent flight with its wings lifted to slow its descent for landing. The dramatic eagle landing graphic was created by award-winning science illustrator Emily Damstra, a U.S. Mint Artistic Infusion Program artist since 2014. Inscribed "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," "ONE DOLLAR," "E PLURIBUS UNUM" and the Mint mark "S."
