Powerful Eagle Landing Design by Emily Damstra
Obverse: Adolph Weinman's Walking Liberty design, which comes from his half dollar, features on the obverse, as it has since the series began. The morning sun begins to emerge from beyond the horizon as an American flag draped Liberty carries branches in the foreground. Obverse inscriptions include the central figure's name, "LIBERTY," the national motto, "IN GOD WE TRUST," and the date, "2021." Adolph Weinman made important contributions to America's early 20th century numismatic renaissance. His best known works are the Walking Liberty Half Dollar and the Mercury Dime.
Reverse: An eagle prepares to land with an oak branch in its talons in Emily Damstra's new reverse design. The bird is encircled by three rim inscriptions, which read, "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "ONE DOLLAR," and "1 OZ. FINE SILVER." The statutory motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM" is inscribed to the right.
Impeccable PF70 UC FR with 35th Anniversary Label
Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) provided this piece's grading information on a 35th Anniversary label. NGC graded the coin Proof 70, which means that it appears perfect even under 5x magnification. The grading company also certified the coin Ultra Cameo (UC) and First Releases (FR). The UC designation credits it for having deeply mirrored fields and heavily frosted devices, while the FR certification indicates that it was submitted for grading no more than 30 days after its initial release from the mint.
