Obverse: The obverse bears the iconic Walking Liberty design of Adolph Weinman. Taken from the Half Dollar of the same name, the image features Liberty carrying branches while draped in the American flag as the early morning sun begins to rise. Her name, “LIBERTY,” is inscribed along the rim, while the national motto, “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and date, “2021,” are also included on this face. Adolph Weinman was a prominent sculptor. He also made several numismatic contributions, including designing both the Mercury Dime and the Walking Liberty Half Dollar.
Reverse: Emily Damstra’s reverse design features an eagle carrying an oak branch. The rim inscriptions of the original Proof Silver Eagle remain the same, though they have been rearranged. They read, “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “ONE DOLLAR,” and “1 OZ. FINE SILVER.” The motto “E PLURIBUS UNUM” is also included on the right.
