Obverse: The obverse was designed by artist Adolph Weinman. The design features the timeless image of Liberty as she is swaddled in the American Flag. She is depicted holding oak and laurel branches which are symbols of strength and prosperity. Adolph Weinman's artist initials appear on the obverse of Type-2 Silver Eagles, a first for the series!

Reverse: The Type 2 reverse of the coin was designed by science illustrator, nature artist and numismatic designer Emily Damstra. The image featured on the reverse is a flying Bald Eagle preparing to land.
