Why add the 2021-(S) American Silver Eagle Struck at San Francisco Mint Type 2 NGC MS69 Emergency Production FR Trolley Label to your collection?
Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) encapsulated this 2021-(S) Type 2 American Silver Eagle Struck at San Francisco Mint and graded it at the Mint State (MS69) level. This Silver Eagle was part of a production run of bullion Type-2 Silver Eagles at the San Francisco Mint authorized by the United States Mint to help supplement typical production at the West Point Mint in order to keep up with customer demand for the new design in the face of pandemic related production delays, earning it NGC's Emergency Production pedigree.
Obverse: The obverse design is Adolph Weinman's Walking Liberty image from the half dollar that was struck in the U.S. from 1916 until 1947. Liberty is walking with her arm outstretched, holding laurel and oak branches, wrapped in the Stars and Stripes. The Type-2 design sees Adolph Weinman's " artist initials, "AW," on the obverse for the first time.
Reverse: The reverse of the coin features a bald eagle in the split second prior to landing on an oak branch. The design is from Emily Damstra of the Mint's Artistic Infusion Program (AIP).
Compelling Collector Coin
Mint State 69 coins are solid examples of collector coins. Such examples lack any distracting marks or variance in luster and generally have superior eye appeal and magnificent original surfaces. Both the First Releases and Emergency Production designations are relayed on a San Francisco Trolley themed certification label that pays homage to the Mint of origin.
