Why add the 2021-(S) American Silver Eagle Struck at San Francisco Mint Type 2 NGC MS69 Emergency Production Brown Label to your collection?

This 2021-(S) American Silver Eagle was Struck at the San Francisco Mint and received the collector grade of Mint State 69 (MS69) from Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) as well as NGC's Emergency Production pedigree due to the circumstances surrounding its striking. In 2021, the United States Mint authorized a production run on Type-2 bullion Silver Eagles to be struck at the San Francisco Mint in an attempt to keep up with an anticipated high customer demand in the face of continued production slow-downs related to the Covid-19 pandemic.

  • A San Francisco production run was authorized to keep up with customer demand and mitigate covid-19 related production delays.
  • This example features the classic NGC Brown Label.
  • Introduced in 1986, the Silver Eagle has become one of the most trusted and sought after silver bullion coin on the planet.
  • The Type-2 Silver Eagle debuted in mid-2021 and features a reeded-gap anti-counterfeiting security measure.
  • These coins are struck from 1 troy ounce of .999 pure silver.
  • They are legal tender $1 coins with weight and purity are backed by the U.S. Government.
  • This example bears no mint mark.

Remarkable Reverse Redesign

Obverse: The classic obverse design is regarded by Numismatists as one of the finest ever struck. Adolph A. Weinman designed the Walking Liberty half dollar in 1916. The central image is that of Liberty striding confidently across a landscape while wrapped in the U.S. flag. Adolph Weinman's artist initials, "AW," appear on the obverse for the first time in the history of the series.

Reverse: The reverse was designed by numismatic designer and science illustrator Emily Damstra. The image is of an iconic American Bald Eagle, his wings spread in the moment before landing.

Beautiful Emergency Production Type-2 Silver Eagle

Mint State 69 coins have excellent surfaces and superior eye appeal. In addition to earning the Mint State 69 grade, the Emergency Production pedigree also appears on NGC's classic brown label.
