Why purchase this flawless San Francisco minted 2021 American Silver Eagle bullion coin?
Due to production slowdowns related to the global COVID-19 pandemic that continues on, the U.S. Mint has opted to supplement the American Silver Eagle bullion coin supply with a run at the San Francisco Mint to keep up with an customer demand. Typically, bullion issues would be struck at the West Point Mint. The Mint is also scheduled to introduce a new reverse design for the series before the end of the year. As a result, Silver Eagle examples such as this one struck early in the year, will be among the last bullion issues to feature the heraldic eagle reverse by 12th Chief Engraver John Mercanti, which has graced the series since its 1986 introduction.
