Why add the 2021-(S) 1 oz American Silver Eagle Emergency Production Struck at San Francisco Mint Type I NGC MS69 Brown Label to your collection?
This 2021-(S) 1 oz. American Silver Eagle Emergency Production Struck at San Francisco Mint Type I coin earned the elevated Mint State 69 (MS69) grade from Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) as well as the grading company's "Emergency Production" pedigree. The United States Mint turned to its San Francisco branch to help supplement bullion Silver Eagle production at its West Point branch to keep up with customer demand in the face of pandemic-related production delays. To mark the 35th anniversary of the series, the original heraldic eagle reverse design will transition to a brand new reverse design in mid-2021, allowing collectors another chance to appreciate the original design with early 2021 issues such as this one.
Weinman's Classic Obverse
Obverse: The obverse of the coin features the famous "Liberty Walking" design by Adolph A. Weinman's circulating half dollar. This features Liberty wrapped in the U.S. Flag while she carries oak and laurel branches.
Reverse: The reverse features the John M. Mercanti Heraldic Eagle image. This eagle is technically an "eagle displayed," that is with wings spread and body exposed. The eagle appears beneath a field of thirteen stars. 2021 is the final appearance of this, the original reverse for the series.
Mint State 69 coins feature exemplary, lustrous surfaces and abundant eye appeal. The coin was encapsulated for the enjoyment of future generations with the classic NGC Brown Label which also carries the coin's "Struck at the San Francisco Mint" status and "Emergency Production" pedigree.
