The image is encircled by a rim frame that bears inscriptions of her name, "ELIZABETH II," the name of the issuing country, "AUSTRALIA," and the coin's face value, "100 DOLLARS."
Reverse: On the reverse is Dr. Stuart Devlin's iconic bounding red kangaroo design. It is encircled by a stylized sunburst frame. Inscriptions along the rim note the name of the coin, "AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO," its date, "2021," and its weight and purity, "1 OZ 9995 PLATINUM."
