Obverse: The obverse features a portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II posed facing right, with the Royal Diamond Diadem upon her head. The image frame contains the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II," "2021," "AUSTRALIA" and "50 CENTS." This rendition of Great Britain's longest reigning monarch is the work of award-winning artist Jody Clark, a sculptor/engraver for the British Royal Mint since 2012.

Reverse: A Tasmania Devil joey is depicted asleep and snuggled into a fluffy down-lined nest on the reverse. The intricately woven nest is surrounded by a colorful array of roses, leaves and native Australian blossoms. Inscriptions include "1/2 OZ 9999 SILVER" and the Mint mark "P." The adorable scene is part of the "Nested Babies Collection," which was initially created by Sydney based illustrator Elise Martinson for use on whimsical stationery and giftware.
