Obverse: The obverse bears a right-side portrait of Queen Elizabeth II that was designed by Jody Clark. The monarch wears her Royal Diamond Diadem, earrings, and a necklace. Her name, "ELIZABETH II," joins the name of the issuing country, "AUSTRALIA," on the top half of the rim, while inscriptions on the bottom half read, "1 OZ 9999 AG" and "1 DOLLAR."
Reverse: A mother and her calf stand next to each other under a cherry blossom tree in Ing Ing Jong's reverse design. In the upper left are the Chinese character for "Ox," "OX," and the date, "2021."

Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) awarded this coin a Proof 70 grade, which is only given to coins that appear flawless under 5x magnification. NGC also certified the coin Ultra Cameo and First Releases. Ultra Cameo means that a coin exhibits particularly sharp contrasts between heavily frosted devices and deeply mirrored fields. First Releases is a designation given to coins that were submitted for grading within 30 days of their initial mint releases.
