Spectacular Order of Malta Themed Design

Obverse: The obverse depicts Malta's Verdala Palace, the colossal Renaissance structure built in the 16th century, during the reign of the Order's Grand Master Jean Parisot de la Valette. Below the castle, a pair of armored knights are posed along with their mounts, preparing to advance into battle. Inscribed "KNIGHTS OF THE PAST" and "5 EURO."

Reverse: The reverse features an armored knight grasping a circular shield adorned with the emblem of the Order, a Maltese Cross, with the coat of arms of the Central Bank of Malta at the center. Inscriptions include "MALTA" above and "2021" below, with "1 OZ AG 999.9" located to the left of the shield beneath the knight's elbow.

Mint State 70 Excellence

The Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) examined this 2021 Malta 1 oz. Silver Knights of the Past Coin and judged it to be in Mint State 70 condition for its flawless strike and perfectly finished surfaces. The coin is presented in a protective holder with a NGC First Releases label, which certifies that the coin was submitted to the grading service within thirty days of release. The graded coin will arrive with its original Germania Mint packaging and Certificate of Authenticity.
