Stunning Britannia Design by Philip Nathan
Obverse: The obverse bears Jody Clark's 2015 portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The right-side effigy depicts the monarch wearing her Royal Diamond Diadem and earrings. Rim inscriptions encircling the image read, "2 POUNDS," and "ELIZABETH II D G REG F D."
Reverse: Britannia stands proudly on the waves in Philip Nathan's classic design on the reverse. She holds her trident, a symbol of her power, in one hand while balancing a shield with the other. The shield bears the Union Jack. Inscriptions on a rim frame read, "BRITANNIA," "2021," and "1 OZ 999 FINE SILVER." New security features on this face, in addition to the holographic security mark and wave-patterned background, include tincture lines added to Britannia's iconic shield, and a micro text inscription that repeats inside the main border of the coin that states in Latin "DECUS ET TUTAMEN" which translates to "an ornament and safeguard."
