Obverse: Both faces of this coin bear designs that were created by "Rocky" Zhao, who has designed Chinese Pandas in the past. On the obverse is a right-side portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. She is joined by rim inscriptions of her name, "ELIZABETH II," the name of the issuing territory, "EAST CARIBBEAN STATES," both of the coin's face values, "$10" and "ONE SOVEREIGN," and the date, "2021."
Reverse: The two pandas visiting the Edinburgh Zoo feature on the reverse. They are integrated into a yin-yang symbol, half of which is comprised of a Scottish tartan pattern in a symbol of friendship between Scotland and China. The weight and purity of the coin are inscribed along the rim.

The grading company awarded the coin its highest grade, Proof 70, which means that it appears perfect under 5x magnification. It also certified the coin Ultra Cameo (UC) and First Day of Issue (FDI). The UC designation credits it for exhibiting particularly sharp contrasts between heavily frosted devices and deeply mirrored fields, while the First Day of Issue designation indicates that it was submitted for grading through an exclusive process.
