Striking Britannia Design by Philip Nathan
Obverse: At the center of the obverse is a right-side portrait of reigning British monarch Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark. Clark shows her majesty wearing her Royal Diamond Diadem. Her name and abbreviated Latin title, "ELIZABETH II D G REG F D," join with an inscription of the coin's face value, "100 POUNDS," in encircling the effigy.
Reverse: The reverse features Britannia standing on the waves wearing a Corinthian helmet. Designed by Philip Nathan, this image shows the figure balancing a shield that bears the Union Jack with one hand while holding a trident in the other. Rim inscriptions note the figure's name, "BRITANNIA," the coin's date, "2021," its weight, "1 OZ," and its purity, "999.9 FINE GOLD."
