Exquisite Queen's Beasts Design by Jody Clark

Both faces of this coin were designed by Jody Clark. Obverse: One of Clark's right-side portraits of Queen Elizabeth II features on the obverse. The monarch is shown wearing the crown that she wears to the State Opening of Parliament, her Royal Diamond Diadem. Encircling her image are inscriptions of her name and abbreviated Latin title, "ELIZABETH II D G REG F D," and the coin's face value, "100 POUNDS."

Reverse: The same portrait of the monarch features at the center of the reverse. The design is encircled by a frame that bears inscriptions of the name of the series, "THE QUEEN'S BEASTS," the coin's date, "2021," and the coin's metal content, "1 OZ. FINE GOLD 999.9." Beyond that frame are images of each of the creatures that featured in the series.
