Why does this 2021 Ghana History of Aviation CuNi Coin belong in your collection?
This stunning copper-nickel coin issued by the Republic of Ghana is an homage to the Wright Brother's contribution to advancements in aviation. American inventors Orville and Wilbur Wright's first sustained, controlled flight of the "Wright Flyer" took place in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, on December 17, 1903.
Remarkably Detailed Commemorative Design

Surrounding the ring are the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II," "REPUBLIC OF GHANA" and the coin's "2 CEDIS" denomination, along with Ghana's Coat of Arms. The effigy is the work of acclaimed British sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley, who created the image in 1998.
