Description
Why Choose This MS70 First Releases 2021 Germania Mint Allegories Austria and Germania 2 oz Silver Medal?
Germania Mint is a private Mint that was established in Poland in 2018. While that is relatively recent, they have already released a number of high quality products and they actually stem from a company that has been a part of the coin and bullion world for decades. This 2021 silver medal from Germania Mint was issued as part of their Allegories series, which focuses on the female personifications of nations, this one featuring Germania and a representation of Austria.
- A mintage limit of 2,500 pieces was set for this medal.
- This medal weighs 2 Troy oz and is made of .9999 fine silver.
- The 10 mark denomination that appears on this issue is ornamental only and does not make this issue legal tender.
- This specimen is NGC certified.
Germania and Austria in Friendship
Obverse: The Allegories design is on the obverse of this 2 ounce silver medal. This design shows Austria and Germania sitting together as they hold hands, symbolizing their close relationship. Austria is depicted to the left and can be seen holding a spear. Germania is on the right and is shown with her sword at her side.
Reverse: This medal’s reverse offers an interesting concept. Germania has never existed as a single country. If it did, perhaps the Germania coat of arms would look like this.
