Obverse: The obverse features a stunning rendition of the ornately detailed entry of the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests, located in Beijing's Temple of Heaven complex. A frame surrounds the image bearing the inscriptions "People's Republic of China" above in Chinese characters, with the year of issue "2021" below.
Reverse: The reverse features a charming wildlife scene, as a mother panda chases her mischievous cub up the trunk of a tree. Inscriptions include "3 g Au .999" and the coin's "50 Yuan" denomination. This is the second Panda series design crafted by Chinese artist Tong Fang. Ms. Tong is additionally credited with the newborn panda design of the 2019 release.
