A Magnificent Array of AC/DC Icons
Obverse: Centered on the obverse is Jody Clark's sculpted effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with the Royal Diamond Diadem upon her head. Surrounding inscriptions include "ELIZABETH II," "AUSTRALIA 2021" and "1 DOLLAR." Mr. Clark is an acclaimed sculptor/engraver who has been employed by The Royal Mint of Great Britain since 2012.
Reverse: The reverse features the "AC/DC" lightning bolt logo, accompanied by a collage of emblems from the band's album cover art, including a representation of songwriter and lead guitarist Angus Young, the parrot from "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap," the cannon from "For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)," a wood plank from "T.N.T.," and coils of barbed wire from "High Voltage." The background is styled with the concentric grooves of a record, slashed with multiple bolts of lightning.
