Why Purchase This MS70 First T2 Production 2021 Type 2 American Silver Eagle?

The American Silver Eagle is one of the U.S. Mint's most recognizable bullion coins. The first of these were issued in 1986 and they've been a favorite of stackers and collectors alike ever since. While the Silver Eagle has basically remained the same over the years, 2021 has brought the first major design change of the series with the new Type 2 reverse that replaced the classic Type 1 reverse in mid-2021.

  • This 2021 Silver Eagle has the stunning new Type 2 reverse.
  • This Silver Eagle made of .999 fine silver and weighs 1 Troy oz.
  • Type 2 Silver Eagles feature a anti-counterfeiting security measure in the form of a reeded edge gap.
  • This coin is one of the first 200,000 Type 2 bullion Silver Eagles to be struck!
  • Certified by PCGS, this coin has a special designation to separate it from other 2021 Type 2 Silver Eagles.

Stunning American Designs with an Impressive New Reverse

Obverse: The date is located on this coin's obverse near the bottom edge of the design. This side displays a design known as Walking Liberty. It was originally used for the half dollar in the early 1900s and was very well received by the public. The stars and stripes are flowing around Liberty as she strides forward with an armful of oak and laurel branches. The artist, Adolph Weinman's artist initials appear on the obverse of Type 2 Silver Eagles, a new addition!

Reverse: This side features the new Type 2 design, eagle landing. This modern depiction of a bald eagle shows an absolutely stunning level of detail. The eagle is pictured descending as it returns with an oak branch in its talons.
