Obverse: On the obverse is Adolph Weinman's Walking Liberty design. Liberty carries symbols of civilian and military honors, laurel and oak branches, respectively, as she strides confidently against a background of the morning sun. Her name, "LIBERTY," arches over the image, while the national motto, "IN GOD WE TRUST," and "2021" are also included on this face.
Reverse: The reverse design was created by John Mercanti, who used the Great Seal of the United States as his model. An eagle protects a union shield while holding arrows and an olive branch under a triangular arrangement of thirteen stars.
