Why purchase this perfectly graded 2021 American Silver Eagle bullion coin?
This 2021 American Silver Eagle coin represents the 36th consecutive year of issue for the U.S. Mint's popular bullion series. With the announcement from the Mint of a mid-year design change, 2021 will be an unprecedented year for the Silver Eagle. This 2021 dated Silver Eagle is one of the last bullion issues to be graced with the Heraldic Eagle image created by former Chief Engraver John Mercanti, before a new design is introduced on bullion coins later on in 2021.
Classic Walking Liberty Design
Obverse: The obverse image is an homage to the cherished Walking Liberty Half Dollar coin created by Weinman in 1916, which features the female personification of Liberty draped in the stars and stripes of the United States. Inscriptions include "LIBERTY," "2021" and "IN GOD WE TRUST." Mr. Weinman was a sought after medallic and architectural sculptor in the early 1900s.
Reverse: The reverse design by John Mercanti depicts a heraldic eagle clutching an olive branch in its right talon and arrows in its left, with thirteen stars above symbolizing the original colonies. Inscribed "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," "ONE DOLLAR" and "E PLURIBUS UNUM."
