Why purchase this First Day of Issue 2021 American Silver Eagle bullion coin?
The U.S. Mint has issued the American Silver Eagle series for three and a half decades. During that time, its time-honored patriotic imagery has remained unchanged, but that is about to change. The 2021 Silver Eagle, the series' 36th year of issue, will feature two different reverse designs. Only early-year releases such as this one will be minted with the original Heraldic Eagle image sculpted by John Mercanti, the Mint's currently retired 12th Chief Engraver. Bullion Silver Eagles with the newly designed reverse are planned for release later in the year.
- This 2021 American Silver Eagle contains 1 Troy oz. of .999 fine silver.
- The coin measures 40.60 mm in diameter.
- The silver dollar is a certified First Day of Issue release.
Gorgeous Silver Eagle Imagery

Reverse: A heraldic eagle adorns the reverse, grasping an olive branch and a cluster of arrows, symbolizing freedom, peace and strength. Inscribed "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," "ONE DOLLAR" and "E PLURIBUS UNUM."
