Why add the 2021 American Silver Eagle NGC MS69 FR to your collection?
This 2021 American Silver Eagle NGC MS69 FR continues the American Silver Eagle series and represents a significant moment in the history of the series: it is the last time the original reverse will be available to collectors on a bullion Silver Eagle issue! In mid-2021, the United States Mint will start transitioning the bullion series to a new reverse design for the first time in the history of the series. Early 2021 bullion Silver Eagles will still feature the original heraldic eagle reverse design created by John Mercanti, allowing collectors another change to appreciate the iconic design before it transitions later in the year.
Obverse: The timeless obverse design originally appeared on the circulating half dollar in 1916 and continued through 1947. It was created by Adolph A. Weinman and features the Goddess Liberty walking across the difficult American landscape. She is wrapped in the U.S. Flag.
Reverse: The reverse design is John Mercanti's brilliant Heraldic Eagle. The eagle appears beneath a field of thirteen stars, which symbolize the thirteen colonies. This is the original reverse design for the series and will be the final appearance of the design.
