Why add this Brilliant Uncirculated 2021 American Silver Eagle coin to your collection of precious metals?
The U.S. Mint introduced the American Silver Eagle series in 1986. As the official silver bullion coin of the United States, the series is one of the most sought after precious metal products in the world. The series is noted for its remarkably symbolic imagery, which illustrates the nation's steadfast belief in liberty and freedom for all its citizens. This coin is one of the final bullion American Silver Eagle issues that will feature John Mercanti's original reverse design as the Mint will introduce a new reverse design on bullion Silver Eagles later in 2021!
Breathtaking Patriotic Imagery
Obverse: The obverse features the timeless rendition of Lady Liberty striding toward the rising sun draped in the American flag, while carrying a bouquet of long oak and laurel branches. Inscriptions include "LIBERTY," "2021" and "IN GOD WE TRUST." This personification of Liberty by famed early 20th century sculptor Adolph A. Weinman made its first appearance on the 1916 Walking Liberty Half Dollar.
Reverse: The reverse, designed by John Mercanti, depicts a heraldic eagle grasping an olive branch and arrows, a stunningly detailed homage to the Great Seal of the United States. Inscribed "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," "ONE DOLLAR" and "E PLURIBUS UNUM." Mr. Mercanti served as the U.S. Mint's Chief Engraver from 2006-2010.
