Why add the 2021 1 oz Gold Buffalo $50 Coin GEM BU to your collection?
Adding this 2021 1 oz. Gold Buffalo $50 Coin in GEM Brilliant Uncirculated condition to your collection is an excellent way to celebrate one of the most iconic series ever struck by the U.S. Mint.
James Earle Fraser's Design
Obverse: The obverse of the coin displays the famous image of a proud Native American Chief. The chief's face is craggy, worn and wise. He wears what appear to be two eagle feathers in his braids. Fraser used three different models to create this blockbuster design of American Numismatics.
Reverse: The reverse features the image of an American Bison, modeled by Black Diamond, the resident Water Buffalo at the Central Park Zoo in 1912. The image is referred to as the classic "Type 1" reverse and is also an icon of American Numismatics.
What is Gem BU?
Gem Brilliant Uncirculated coins are well-struck, lustrous, mint state coins with exceptional eye appeal. They have original surfaces and have no evidence of friction or mishandling. They generally grade at the Mint State 65 level or higher if they were submitted for numerical grading.
