Why order this 2020 ¥10 China 30 g Silver Panda?
Since it was first released as a 1 oz bullion coin in 1988, the Chinese Silver Panda has emerged as one of the top choices among collectors year in and year out. At various times in its history, the series has experienced explosive growth, with demand in recent years driving mintages into eight figures. The series is popular both because of its exquisite one-year only designs and the novelty factor, as it became in 2016 the only annual silver bullion coin to be issued in metric units instead of imperial ones. This coin was struck from 30 g of .999 fine silver.
Featuring Song Lina's Adorable Baby Panda Design
Stairs lead up to the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests on the obverse. The building, which traditionally appears on the Panda's obverse, is circular and tiered, a traditional example of Chinese architecture. It stands in Beijing's Temple of Heaven. It is encircled by a rim frame in which there are two inscriptions, "People's Republic of China," which is in Chinese characters at the top, and "2020," which is at the bottom.
Song Lina, who lives in Northern China and has observed pandas for years, created the reverse design. A baby panda sits facing the holder. He eats bamboo leaves while pulling more from the tree above. Next to him is an inscription of the coin's face value, while its weight and purity, "30 G AG .999," is inscribed above his head on the rim.
Impeccable MS70 FDI with Song Lina Signed Label
Song Lina hand signed the label on which Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) provided its grading information. The grading company indicated that the coin is in perfect condition as seen under 5x magnification by awarding it their highest grade, Mint State 70. They also noted that it was submitted through an exclusive process by certifying it First Day of Issue.
