Why order this 2020-W $0.25 Connecticut Weir Farm National Historic Site with V75 Privy Mark?In 2020, the US Mint is celebrating the 75th anniversary of allied victory in World War II with a privy mark on quarters. The unique celebration includes the release of 10 million quarters - 2 million of each of the five 2020 America the Beautiful Quarters - with a V75 privy mark. The mark is in the shape of the Rainbow Pool, which is part of Washington, DC's National World War II Memorial. All of the coins were released directly into circulation. Exquisite Artist Design by Justin KunzLike other coins in the America the Beautiful Series, this one features John Flanagan's left-side portrait of America's first President, George Washington. He is flanked by two inscriptions, "LIBERTY" and "IN GOD WE TRUST." "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" arches over his image, while the coin's face value, "QUARTER DOLLAR," is noted below. Justin Kunz created and Phebe Hemphill sculpted the reverse design. Shown from behind, an artist paints in front of Julian Alden Weir's studio. The studio is located at Weir Farm, the national park celebrated by this issue. Today, the farm features a variety of programs for artists and aspiring artists. "A NATIONAL PARK FOR ART" is inscribed on the right. A rim frame bears four inscriptions, including the name of the park, "WEIR FARM," and name of the state that this issue represents, "CONNECTICUT." Well Preserved MS67 FR with V-Day LabelThe experts at Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) certified that this coin is in Mint State 67 condition. That means that it was struck sharply. While collectors typically look for higher grades on modern coins, MS67 is very high given the fact that all of these coins were released directly into circulation.
