2020-W Uncirculated American Palladium Eagle

On September 24th, 2020 the United States Mint is releasing an Uncirculated Palladium American Eagle Series. This splendid coin will be struck from .9995 pure palladium planchets, each containing 1 oz. of palladium and will feature the iconic West Point (W) mint mark.

The planchets and the dies used to strike the coin were prepared using a unique metal-on-metal process, which creates a desirable, uniform frosty, uncirculated appearance. The issue has a limited mintage of JUST 10,000 coins, the lowest mintage of the series to date!

The American Eagle 2020 1 oz. Palladium Uncirculated coin will be released on September 24, 2020.

American Palladium Eagle Series and Design

2017 saw the introduction of the American Eagle One Ounce Palladium Bullion Coin. The coin met with instant success and has been issued in various collector finishes, including proof and reverse proof, in subsequent years.

This series's obverse features a high-relief depiction of the classic "Winged Liberty" or "Mercury" dime design by famed artist Adolph A. Weinman. In this depiction, Liberty wears a Phrygian Cap that features wings that symbolize "freedom of thought."

The reverse of the series features a high-relief depiction of Weinman's 1907 American Institute of Architects Gold Medal reverse. An eagle holds a branch in his beak as he stands on a rocky outcrop and bows his head.
