The coin is available in GEM BU condition in the Original Government Packaging (OGP). The coin was struck at the West Point facility of the U.S. Mint and bears it "W" mint mark. It contains .242 oz. of gold struck on a 90% pure gold planchet. It is a legal tender $5 coin in the United States.
Dynamic Basketball Design
The obverse image depicts three players striving to get the basketball at the same time. The arms have been enhanced to emphasize the struggle of playing the game. The obverse inscriptions include "LIBERTY" "IN GOD WE TRUST" and "2020." The obverse was sculpted by Michael Gaudioso of the U.S. Mint and designed by Justin Kunz of the Artistic Infusion Program (AIP). The reverse image shows a basketball just before it passes through the net. The reverse inscriptions include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," and "FIVE DOLLARS." The reverse was sculpted by Phebe Hemphill of the US Mint and designed by Donna Weaver of the Artistic Infusion Program.
