Why purchase this perfectly struck 2020-(W) American Silver Eagle coin?

The U.S. Mint introduced the American Silver Eagle series in 1986. Release of this 2020 dated example, struck from 1 Troy oz. of .999 fine silver, marks the 35th consecutive year of issue for the series. Traditionally, the series' bullion releases do not carry a Mint mark; origin of this coin is confirmed by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) as the West Point Mint with a (W) on the label.

Walking Liberty by Adolph A. Weinman

Lady Liberty is depicted on the obverse, as originally designed for the 1916 Walking liberty Half Dollar, elegantly draped in an American flag, while walking towards the rising sun carrying a bundle of oak and laurel branches. Inscribed "LIBERTY," "2020" and "IN GOD WE TRUST."

The reverse design by John Mercanti features a heraldic eagle grasping an olive branch and arrows, with thirteen stars above. Inscriptions include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," "ONE DOLLAR" and "E PLURIBUS UNUM."

Early Releases Mint State 70 Perfection with West Point Silver Star Label

This 2020-(W) American Silver Eagle bullion coin is judged by NGC to be in perfect Mint State 70 condition. Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) received the silver dollar for review within thirty days of release, as indicated by the designation Early Releases. The coin is presented in a NGC holder with a commemorative West Point Silver Star style certification label.
