Why add this specially labeled 2020-W American Silver Eagle Proof coin to your collection?
The U.S. Mint has issued the American Silver Eagle annually since 1986, consistently featuring imagery borrowed from an early 20th century American classic, the Walking Liberty design created by Adolph A. Weinman for the 1916 half dollar denomination coin. Measuring 40.60 mm in diameter, this 2020-W Silver Eagle proof coin was struck at the West Point Mint from 1 Troy oz. of .999 fine silver.
Timeless Personification of Liberty
The obverse depicts Lady Liberty's American flag-draped form, as she walks towards the rising sun holding a bouquet of oak and laurel, which are symbolic of strength, victory and honor. Inscribed "LIBERTY," "2020" and "IN GOD WE TRUST."
The reverse design by John Mercanti features a heraldically posed eagle grasping an olive branch and arrows, with thirteen five-pointed stars above.
Virtually Flawless Proof 69 Ultra Cameo with Exclusive Weinman Label
Graded a nearly perfect Proof 69, this 2020-W American Silver Eagle coin carries the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) Early Releases designation, indicating that the coin was received by the grading service within thirty days of release. For the exceptional amount of contrast between its frosted design elements and mirrored fields, the proof earned the additional certification of Ultra Cameo (UC). The coin is presented in a NGC holder accompanied by ModernCoinMart's exclusively designed label commemorating the Silver Eagle's obverse designer Adolph A. Weinman.
