Classic Winged Liberty Design by Adolph Weinman
Obverse: Like the reverse, the obverse design was created by Adolph Weinman. Liberty faces left wearing a winged cap, which represents freedom of thought. The image comes from the Mercury dime. Obverse inscriptions include "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST," and "2020."
Reverse: The reverse design comes from Wineman's 1907 American Institute of Architects Gold Medal. An eagle spreads its wings while holding a branch in its mouth. Inscriptions on this face include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. PD .9995 FINE," "$25," and "E PLURIBUS UNUM." Adolph Weinman designed two of the best known coins in American history, the Mercury dime and the Walking Liberty half dollar.
