Featuring Adolph Weinman's Famous Winged Liberty Design
Obverse: The obverse design comes from Adolph Weinman's Winged Liberty dime. More commonly known as the Mercury dime for the obverse design's resemblance to the Roman goddess, the coin is an American classic. Liberty dons a winged cap, which represents freedom of thought. Her name, "LIBERTY," joins the national motto, "IN GOD WE TRUST," and the date, "2020," as inscriptions on this face.
Reverse: The reverse design features an eagle resting with its wings spread while holding a branch in its mouth. Rim inscriptions read, "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "E PLURIBUS UNUM." "$25" and "1 OZ. PD .9995 FINE" are also inscribed on this face. Adolph Weinman was a sculptor and numismatic designer. He is best known for creating the designs of the Walking Liberty half dollar and the Mercury dime. His sculptures are on display at several important locations.
