Beautiful Walking Liberty Design
Obverse: The obverse features Lady Liberty as she appeared on the 1916 Walking Liberty Half Dollar, strolling towards the rising sun wrapped in an American flag, while cradling a bouquet of oak and laurel branches. Inscribed "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST" and "2020." The design is credited to Adolph A. Weinman, a prolific early 20th century American sculptor.
Reverse: A heraldic eagle is depicted on the reverse beneath thirteen stars, with an olive branch and a bundle of arrows in its grasp. The inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," "ONE DOLLAR," "S" and "E PLURIBUS UNUM" surround the patriotic image created by John Mercanti, the U.S. Mint's Chief Engraver from 2006-2010.
