Obverse: John Flanagan's portrait of President George Washington features on the obverse. It has been a mainstay of American quarters since 1932. The image is flanked by the inscriptions "LIBERTY" and "IN GOD WE TRUST," while the name of the issuing country, "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," and the coin's face value, "QUARTER DOLLAR," are inscribed above and below it, respectively.
Reverse: On the reverse is a red mangrove tree design by Richard Masters. The main design is encircled by a rim frame that bears four inscriptions, "SALT RIVER BAY," "U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS," "2020," and "E PLURIBUS UNUM."
