Obverse: Like other coins in the America the Beautiful Series, this one features John Flanagan's portrait of President George Washington. The image has appeared on American quarters since 1932. It is flanked by a pair of inscriptions, "LIBERTY" and "IN GOD WE TRUST," while the name of the coin's country, "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," and the piece's face value, "QUARTER DOLLAR," are inscribed along the rim.
Reverse: Richard Masters's reverse design features a young red mangrove tree. It is encircled by a rim frame. Inscriptions in that frame note the name of the national park represented, "SALT RIVER BAY," the territory in which it is located, "U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS," the date, "2020," and a statutory motto, "E PLURIBUS UNUM."
