This 2020 dated release, representing the seventh year of issue, features the fifth design of the series. The silver dollar bullion coin measuring 40.90 mm in diameter is struck from 1 Troy oz. of .9999 fine silver. Mintage is limited to 50,000 pieces.
Gorgeous Wedge-Tailed Eagle Design
The reverse features an astoundingly detailed close-up rendition of a Wedge-Tailed Eagle as it prepares to grasp its prey. Inscribed "AUSTRALIAN WEDGE-TAILED EAGLE," "2020 1 OZ 9999 SILVER" and the Mint mark "P."
The Royal Mint designer Jody Clark's portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II appears on the obverse. Inscriptions include "ELIZABETH II," "AUSTRALIA" and "1 DOLLAR."

For submission to the grading service within twenty-four hours of release, the silver dollar also earned the coveted First Day of Issue designation. The coin is encapsulated in a NGC holder with a brightly colored Australian flag themed core, accompanied by a coordinating flag style certification label signed by designer John Mercanti.
