Sensational Double Kook Design
A Kookaburra sings from a corrugated rooftop at sunrise on the reverse. The 2020 design by Jennifer McKenna is surrounded by the inscriptions "AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA," "30TH ANNIVERSARY" "1OZ 9999 SILVER" and the Mint mark "P."
The obverse features the inaugural Kookaburra design created by Dr. Stuart Devlin in 1990, depicting the bird perched on a wood post with varied foliage in the background. An inset above frames the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by The Royal Mint's Jody Clark. Inscriptions include "ELIZABETH II," "AUSTRALIA" and "1 DOLLAR," along with the anniversary dates "1990" and "2020."
