Why buy this 2020-P Silver $1 Basketball Hall of Fame Dollar Colorized Proof?
Be a part of the United States Mint's celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Basketball Hall of Fame with this colorized silver dollar, which marks the first colorized coin ever released by the Mint! The coin features a pair of designs that celebrate the game that spread throughout the world in little more than a century. This coin should be a part of every basketball fan's collection.
Powerful Diversity Design by Justin Kunz
Obverse: Justin Kunz's obverse design celebrates the diversity of basketball. Three players, a woman and two men, one of whom is in a wheelchair, reach for a ball. Kunz slightly elongated their arms to underscore the exertion that players make. "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST," and "2020 are inscribed on this face.
Reverse: Designed by Donna Weaver, the reverse design shows a basketball dripping into the hoop. The rim and net are colorized. Rim inscriptions arching over the ball read, "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," and "ONE DOLLAR."
Virtually Flawless PF69 UC FR with Basketball Celebration Label
Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) provided the grading information for this coin on a Basketball Celebration label. That information includes a Proof 69 grade, which means that the coin appears perfect to the unaided eye. It also includes Ultra Cameo and First Releases certifications. Ultra Cameo pieces exhibit sharp contrasts between heavily frosted devices and deeply mirrored fields, while First Releases were submitted for grading no more than 30 days after their initial release from the mint.
