Why purchase this 2020 Boudica Cross Shaped antiqued bullion coin?
This exciting silver coin minted in the shape of a Celtic Cross is issued by the Isle of Man in honor of Boudica, the warrior queen of the Iceni, an ancient tribe of British Celts. The queen led a revolt against Roman rule in 60-61 AD to avenge atrocities against her family. The 2020 Boudica coin is a product of the Mayer Mint, struck from 3 Troy oz. of .999 fine silver, with an ultra-high relief antiqued finish. Mintage is limited to just 999 pieces.
Amazingly Detailed Antiqued Design
The reverse features Boudica dressed in warrior's armor seated upon a log, while balancing a double-headed axe on a Roman soldier's helmet near her feet. The ultra-high relief image is contrasted against a woodgrain textured background adorned with Celtic styled knots. Inscribed "BOUDICA WARRIOR QUEEN" above.
Jody Clark's portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is located at the center of the cross on the obverse, surrounded by a similar wood grain background and Celtic themed ornamentation. Inscribed "QUEEN ELIZABETH II," "ISLE OF MAN," "2020" and "FIVE POUNDS."
