This beautifully designed silver bullion round is part of the Intaglio Mint’s Vintage Horror Series. Established in 2010 and headquartered in Denver, Colorado, Intaglio is a private mint recognized for its high quality manufacturing of commemorative precious metal coins, tokens and medallions. This 2020 dated release is an homage to Dracula, the frightening blood sucking fiend created by Irish author Bram Stoker in the 1897 Gothic horror novel of the same name. The 39 mm diameter round is struck from 2 Troy oz. of .999 fine silver.
Incredibly Detailed Design
A dramatic depiction of Count Dracula is featured on the obverse. Dressed in a classic high-collared cape and formal suit, the vampire stares forward, pointing a sharpened nail towards his next chosen victim, while lighting his way with a single candle. Inscribed “DRACULA” above.
The Intaglio Mint’s ionic column logo is centered on the reverse, surrounded by a spiral radial line pattern. The design is encircled by a frame containing the inscriptions “TWO TROY OUNCES” and “.999 FINE SILVER,” with the date as the Roman numerals “MMXX.”
