Why add this 2020 1 oz. Gold Royal Coat of Arms coin to your collection?
Since the fourteenth century, different versions of the Royal Coat of Arms have been struck upon coinage. The current bullion series featuring the Royal Arms was introduced by The Royal Mint in 2019. This 2020 Royal Coat of Arms coin measures 32.69 mm in diameter, struck from 1 Troy oz. of .9999 fine gold.
Gorgeous Symbolic Design
Featured on the reverse is an interpretation of the Royal Coat of Arms by sculptor Timothy Noad. A crowned shield is centrally located, with the Lion of England on the left, and Unicorn of Scotland on the right. Below the shield are plant symbols representing nations of the United Kingdom: a rose of England, thistle of Scotland, shamrock of Ireland and leek of Wales. Inscribed "2020" and "1 OZ FINE GOLD 9999."
Created by The Royal Mint Coin Designer Jody Clark, the obverse features the crowned, right facing effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, accompanied by the legend "ELIZABETH II, D.G. REG. F.D., 100 POUNDS."
