Why add this 2020 1 oz. Silver Germania 5 Mark Proof Medal to your collection of precious metal treasures?
The Germania Mint introduced the Germania series in 2019. The series is a celebration of Germania, as the matriarchal personification of the historic Germanic region. Featuring a design chosen by an online vote, this 2020 Germania 5 Mark medal is struck from 1 Troy oz. of .9999 fine silver with a magnificent proof finish. Mintage is limited to just 1,000 pieces.
Beautiful Portrayal of Germania
Featured on the obverse is the figure of Germania, with her wind-blown cape implying forward movement. A stunning bicephalous (two-headed) eagle swoops in from the right, preparing to land on Germania's outstretched arm. The inscription "GERMANIA 2020" curves above, with "1 OZ. 999.9 FINE SILVER" below.
The Germania Mint's Coat of Arms is centered on the reverse, depicting an incredibly detailed bicephalous eagle gripping two notched arrows, with a branch of laurel at each wing. Inscribed "GERMANIA" and "5 MARK."
