Obverse: The Great Wall of China winds its way up a mountain on the obverse. Above is an ancient Chinese Huntianyi, or armillary sphere. "China Great Wall" is inscribed in Chinese characters near the top, while the medal's date, "2020," is noted at the bottom.
Reverse: Two juvenile pandas face the holder under a blue moon on the reverse. "MOON FESTIVAL" is inscribed in English and both "Moon Festival" and "Blue Moon" are inscribed in Chinese characters in the rim frame.
