Why buy this Proof 2020 China 50 g Silver Berlin World Money Fair Show Panda Medal?
Share in the rich tradition of Berlin Show Pandas with this Silver Proof 2020 Berlin World Money Fair edition. The China Mint has been issuing Show Pandas since 1984. The medals are coveted by countless collectors thanks to their unique designs and low mintages. This medal was struck at the Shenzhen Guobao Mint from 50 g of .999 fine silver. Just 300 of these medals were struck.
Stunning Pandas Design
Berlin Red City Hall dominates the obverse, complete with its stunning clock tower that rises high above the rest of the building. A single streetlamp stands to the left. Next to the tower is the World Money Fair logo. Chinese characters arch over the images, while "WORLD MONEY FAIR BERLIN" and "2020" are inscribed at the bottom of this face.
A mother panda and her two cubs represent the panda family that lives at the Berlin Zoo on the reverse. A Chinese archway stands in the background. They are encircled by three inscriptions. The two English ones read, "COMMEMORATIVE PANDA" and "BERLIN SPECIAL EXHIBIT." The third inscription, which is on the bottom half of the rim, is in Chinese characters. Each proof is individually numbered via laser engraving under the building.
Virtually Flawless PF69 UC FDI
The experts at Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) certified that this piece is in Proof 69 condition, which means that it appears perfect to the unaided eye. They also certified it Ultra Cameo because of the contrasts between its heavily frosted devices and deeply mirrored fields and First Day of Issue, a designation reserved for pieces that were submitted no more than 30 days after their initial mint releases.
